Female and Male Medical Doctors

Medical doctors are the most urgently needed for missions in foreign countries. They have been and still are the backbone of the medical aid programs.

Around one thousand times per year, doctors are recruited for aid work. The majority of them are general medical practitioners, surgeons and anesthesiologists. Presently, there is a large demand for gynecologists/obstetricians. Other specialists in the fields of pediatrics, internal medicine, as well as psychiatry are also needed for missions.

Urgently needed

For our programmes with focus on TB and HIV - for example in Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Mocambique, Swasiland and Cameroun - we are looking for female and male medical doctors with experience in the field of TB, MDR TB and HIV-Coinfection.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Treatment and Follow-up of patients
  • New case finding
  • Implementation of infection control measures
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Negotiations and collaboration with local health structures
