Learning and Development Partner Logistics/IT/Vienna Evaluation Unit (f/m/x)

Starting from March 2022 | full-time | limited for a year (with possible extension) | based in Vienna

The OCG (Operational Center Geneva) Learning and Development (L&D) department analyses needs, defines and implements strategies, mechanisms and tools to increase the knowledge and know-how of staff, in accordance with the objectives, values and the choices made by the organisation. The aim is to ensure the global workforce has access to learning solutions to develop their skills, grow in their field of competence and perform better in their roles. In the role of an L&D Partner your main mission is to collect the department needs, co-design the L&D strategy and a learning path that is aligned with the strategy, design appropriate learning programmes and to guide and accompany the department and the field in all L&D matters. The L&D Partner also contributes to designing the global L&D strategy and is also part of the Vienna Operational Support Department (VOS) which supports MSF Operations  through evaluations, anthropological  studies and  other  reviews,  geo-spatial  imaging  analysis,  learning  and  development activities and field communications.

Your responsibilities

  • You support with designing the L&D strategy and L&D set-up, work closely together with internal and external parties and contribute to budget planning and monitoring for the logistic, IT and VEU (Vienna Evaluation Unit) 
  • You take care of effective collaboration with project sponsors, learning officers and other stakeholders to ensure proper development of learning solutions matching the field needs
  • You support the design of learning solutions using various methods like e-learning, webinars, on the job training and video learning
  • You collaborate with the mission’s focal point to ensure accurate deployment of learning solutions as well as implementing and monitoring evaluation of the learning solutions
  • You collaborate with trainers and learning officers to deliver learning solutions
  • You strive to continuously develop L&D tools, folders, working groups and practices

Your qualifications

  • You have a master’s degree in the field of adult learning, psychology or equivalent and are equipped with strong knowledge in instructional design, learning styles and delivery of web-based content
  • You have already been working in the L&D sector for min. 3-5 years and your experience includes designing and developing learning programmes, face to face and blended learning, consultancy experience is an asset
  • You identify with our principles, are drawn to humanitarian work and have an understanding for mission needs, MSF field or other NGO experience is definitely a plus
  • You are fluent in English and French, other languages are an asset
  • You count professionalism, credibility and assertiveness to your personal qualities
  • You are flexible, ready to travel depending on needs and are experienced in working with a regionally dispersed team

  • Salary according to the salary scheme of MSF Austria: Minimum annual salary 48.530,- Euro gross p.a. based on 40 hours per week. There is a willingness to overpay up to max. 58.230,- Euro gross p.a., if you bring relevant position-related qualifications and professional experience that go beyond the requirement profile.
