As part of the logistics team and in line with the project's strategy, you will design, implement and manage activities in the areas of water supply, sanitation, waste management, supporting medical facilities and the direct implementation of our projects on site.

Your job

Together with the operational and medical teams, you will work on health monitoring. To do this, you analyze and evaluate collected data to determine WASH needs and provide recommendations regarding the necessary strategies and resources. In collaboration with the supply team, you will support the monitoring, deployment, validation and procurement of materials and WASH equipment (availability, technical specifications and suitability).

You support the medical team in identifying risk factors (behavior, environmental sources of infection, transmission routes) and make suggestions for improving hospital management. In addition, you will prepare budgets for WASH activities and participate in budget monitoring.

You are responsible for the WASH team in the project, which includes supporting and training staff and strengthening the team's capacity (by national or local training), therefore experience in team management is beneficial.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of professional experience in the fields of water treatment and wastewater management (water, hygiene, waste disposal, sanitation, vector control, etc.)
  • IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent English and French skills on level B2
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience in personnel management, as well as the ability to train others and delegate tasks
  • Minimum availability of six months for the first assignment; for subsequent assignments, 6–12 months

Assets

  • Diploma or technical certificate in engineering, public health, etc.
  • International professional experience and/or experience in regions comparable to our deployment locations
  • Experience in a medical environment
