Have you ever been abroad for a significant length of time or on a humanitarian assignment before?

Yes. I lived in Moldova for 1 year, serving with the UNDP Moldova. Spent 1 year in Costa Rica working in the development consulting sector. Lastly, spent 2 months in Palestine with the UNDP PAPP. I also travelled extensively before I applied to MSF

Why did you decide to go out on assignment with MSF?

I always had MSF in mind since my early twenties, and admired and applauded the work the organization does. So, for several years, I was working towards joining MSF in the field one day.

What do you value most about MSF?

Sticking to our principles, putting patients first, and the quality of people who work for MSF - heart & mind.

What are you looking forward to most on your (next) assignment?

To have the opportunity to do meaningful and impactful work, where it's needed most. Also, I am looking forward to connecting with our local colleagues - that is an experience and learning on its own.

Is there anything that you take along on every assignment?

Photos of family and friends, book(s), vitamin supplements, gifts for local colleagues, and some little items that have emotional value for me.

What are you passionate about and how do you like to spend your free time?

Love nature, sports, learning languages, and attending intellectual events (seminars, workshops, debates), such as on philosophy, geopolitics, and human rights.

What was your most unforgettable experience during an assignment

There is not one particular experience I can point out. It's more about the overall impact of the experience that I find transformative and profound.
